It really depends on why you were terminated. If you had the job for several years, then it should go on your resume or application.

I had a job where I was being harassed by a new female manager. I had the job almost seven years. She finally did get rid of me. I put it on my resume. Reason for termination as "change in management." One interviewer asked me directly. I said something like, "I worked there seven years. We got a new administrator. She had a hit list and I was on it." I was eventually terminated."

If you were arrested because of it, they will. Employers are ONLY supposed to give dates, pay rate. Attorneys don't like to chance getting sued. BUT, there is always the possibility that an employer/person will run his mouth.

In your situation I would call the immediate supervisor or director and ask him what they are going to say.

My situation, I am in the legal field. She went in her office and called every temp agency in town to bad mouth me, to be sure I did not get a job. At that time, most of us did get out work through agencies.

The situation was so bad, she called the direction of the paralegal program I was enrolled in, and ran me down. Her hope was to get me kicked out of the program. Since it was a community college, that didn't happen. The director of the program was an attorney and had a Ph.D. Her husband is a Judge. I got her sympathy and emotional support in dealing with the situation.

no arrest,no escort out of the facility, jsut a suspension then termination followed.

I too was fired from my place of employment on false grounds. A C.N.A. claimed I did something I would never do and since we had a new administrator (actually started THAT WEEK!) she decided to go ALL OUT and trump it up and out the door I went after a week and a half of meetings with more and more bogus accusations. I've been a LPN for 16 years at this point, with nothing but stellar references and love for my residents and families. This D.O.N. and a few staff members hated my happiness and found a way to get rid of me. Now I'm having a hell of a time getting a job. If any of what they say I had done were true, I should have been investigated by the State and had abuse charges filed. Never in my wldest dreams did I think this could happen to me but it has. So my word to the wise is WATCH YOUR BACK. Misery loves company. At least in my profession and place of work the majority of women were ugly miserble vindictive back stabbers who were only happy if you were UNHAPPY. When I was a single struggling mom I was ok. When i got re-married and was going to go part time because my financial situation changed, I became their target. They got me with lies, and took away relationships I had forged with residents and families I truly LOVED. My new philosophy is not to share much when I do get a new job. I don't have a facebook and I'm keeping it that way. What I do know is karma exists. Those spiteful woman live nasty lives, and I continue to try my best to do good.

I was terminated 5 years ago for failure to follow protocol. I applied for work and simply told the truth. I learned from my error. I felt over whelmed people calling in , nurse aide sleeping on duty, my co worker was exhausted. she had not slept all day so she was crashed in the break room. One pt dying and I was in a lot of pain. I had just got back from having surgery and the boss could not find any one to take my place there fore I felt pressured to come back to work. If that happens to you. REFUSE the doctor is on your side. I the situation warrants call 911 and get the pressure off your back. Nobody is perfect pray and press on.

I to was terminated or what you might say wrongful dismissal. I was being harassed and threatened by a CNA that i reported for not following the code of conduct. This CNA was not doing her job and patient's lives were at stake. I reported it to upper management they did nothing except tell me to call the cops. My DON should have had her body in that facility at time of incident but couldn't be bothered. The CNA continued working there yet I got terminated for reporting the facility to cooperate because they did nothing to protect me. I cannot use this employer on my applications they verbally abuse my skills and I can't get a job. So learn from me it doesn't pay to do the right thing and protect yourself and your patients. I regret ever working there for they have destroyed my reputation as a good nurse. My question is to the health care workers out there. Is it fair the good guys get screwed and the bad guys look like gold?????????
