I'm a June graduate with a B.S. in plant biology. So far I have only worked in plant labs and after graduation I realized I don't have very many skills beyond measuring, making buffers, planting, and collecting seeds. I'm looking for work as a laboratory assistant or technician, but almost all the job listings I see require at least 2 years worth of experience and lab skills I've never learned. I also want to expand my skills beyond plant biology so I can possibly work in other labs too.

Are there any community college classes that will teach me laboratory techniques? So far I haven't had any luck finding an internship.
