I Still hand draw all of our survey plats. I am considering going to computer CAD. I want something very easy to use but professional. I looked at carlson software but it is kinda pricey. I found another program called Survey Plat Tools at SurveyPlat.com But I am not familiar with it or any other software. It looks good and the price is great. Anyone here use it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Best Survey Plat Software and COGO Software I have used. I expecially like the way BEARING TRAVERSE and IMPORT POINTS into AutoCad is. Very easy to use and powerful. Go ahead and try it John. I just checked and the download is still free at SurveyPlat.com

If tou can find a copy of it, Generic Cadd is a simple, easy to use program, The company is no longer in business and I think autodesk

You should check out Carlson @
www.carlsonsw.com/PL_CS_survey.html
Built on Auto Cad Engine as a stand alone but MUCH CHEAPER than Auto Cad.
Topos, simple road design and subdivisions are so easy with this.
You can use the program to write legal descriptions which helps eliminate typos.

If you can afford it I would definitely go with Carlson. It will take a while to become proficient but it will easily pay for itself in increased productivity once your up an running.
