Are jobs in this industry on the rise? Are there any sub-sectors that are growing?

Where are the jobs? Which places have the most lifeguard opportunities?

It depends where you are looking, I think their availiblity goes up and down. But one thing I've noticed with local swim clubs in NY, PA is that they only want to hire guard who are the children of members. The best places to work are pool management companies. Some of them are willing to pay for your training, but they make you pay for your uniform and equipment. THis only applies to pools, as for beached and water fronts the amount of jobs will mostly stay the same because they aren't building any new beaches.
