How did you get your start doing linux administrator work, and what career moves did you make to get to your current position? Do you need a particular educational background? |

get your self an entry level postion working with linux/unix. Usually a BS in CIS, MIS, COMP ENGINEERING, COMP SCIENCE helps you join an entry level postion then through experience you can join and become a linux adminstrator |

I actually have a BA in History, and started my career as a Help Desk Consultant. Even though I have not Technical Degree, I have a very technical background. After getting a job on the help desk. I was able to work my way up. Certs will definitely help |
