i want to start school already. but i don't know what to do, either MRI TECH OR Radiology TECH. I live in california, is there any good trade tech schools for these programs. All i know is either CASA LOMA COLLEGE OR KAPLAN COLLEGE. Casa loma college gives me assiciotes degree in MRI. but i just want to know if i can take the Board exam after i am done. i do not want to get screwed. plz some 1 help mE! |

The thing that you really want to be aware of is whether or not you will be eligible to sit for the ARRT registry exam for MRI certification. Some schools only allow one to get certification for the Armrit MRI exam, which makes it harder to get a job. If it isn't clear whether you would be eligible to sit for the ARRT registry exam for MRI certification just from the website, then e-mail someone from the program and have them clarify the issue. |

The easiest thing for you to do is to go to the ARRT website and see if the school you are thinking out about attending is listed as a certified school under the ARRT guidelines. I could be wrong but I believe Loma Linda is listed on the ARRT website as one of the schools that is recognized. If so, you will be able to take the registry thru ARRT and ARMRIT. Do your homework. Do the research before you sign anything or pay any money. |
