My last position was at Unilever Cosmetics International and once you start in the mailroom you end up in the mailroom for the rest of your time there. One employee was in the mailroom for 12 years with no chance of advancement. Yes, part of it was his fault for lack of ambitions but the intergrity of a corporation to let him remain there without so much as an offer to advance is down right cruel.
