i have 1998 gmc sierra 1500 pickup
i tried to shift it into the 4x4 and it wont ingauge
what is the possible causes

Transfer case has an electrical selonoid that could be the problem if it makes atleast some grinding like it tries then probably transfer case all together. Thier is always the front hubs and front differential but both general make alot of noise first.
