Do you have any tips to help prepare for an upcoming maintenance mechanic interview?

Are there common interview questions that come up again and again?

Dont be greedy (They offer 14, dont tell them you need 16, you wont have a job, let them bring it up)

Listen

Dont be a know it all (But you are expected to know most)

Learn as much as you can about the company you have an interview for, know why they should hire you

Try and cram alot of info in the head before going just in case. Relays, timers, basic electrical, basic plumbing.

Tell them that you believe in Preventive maintenance. One of the things you do best is pay attention to detail and you take the time to find root cause.

Before the interview, try to find if they have a specific brand name of machinery .Then try to read upon it. Remember to use the proper terminology.
Also let them know you are safety conscious, ask them how their track record is.

read up on six sigma and 5-S disiplines . seems like the focus is on preventive maintenance instead of repair .
