The most satisfying aspect of Quality is the ability to take multi disciplined teams/workers and get them to buy into the reason for quality. Produce a product at its lowest cost with the requirements the customer is looking for.
What I dislike most about Quality is the arrigant egotitical top managers that do nothing to assit in control or assurance but meddle in areas that are better left to SUpervison and the workers that know the operation. Minute managers are annoying but some how still tolerated in this day and age.
It is a challenge to make it all happen and kepp track of all aspects of a quality system in place and working they way it should "If you say it on paper do it in the Shop" You must learn everyday to be on the floor and touch base with everyone to find out what is going good or bad and correct it immediately
I lost my job to downsizing went from 156 people to 60 as of 7-15-09
