Obtain training in Statistical Process Control as well as Measuring Process Capability and Reducing Process Variation. Many companies are asking for candidates to have Lean Manufacturing and a Green Belt in Six Sigma. Another highly valued skill is CAD proficiency, especially in Solid Works. UCSD Extension offers courses in Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing and they are not cheap........several thousand dollars. |
