Is anyone else frustrated with the massage industry? I'm 20 and I graduated school in April of this year(2011) and I have yet to find a job. It's so disappointing. I've had to put differments of payments on both my loans... I feel like an idiot for falling for the lies of how "successful" it is in this industry. I live in Los Angeles and NOTHING has come up for me. I got an interview at a sketchy place and it ended up being a low key hooker house so I left after my first day. Anyone else having a bad experience? |

It's too bad schools aren't honest with students. If you want to be successful in massage you must operate your own business. Depending on employers for massage employment isn't the best option. Jobs are few, benefits are nonexistent, and pay is low. Read Laura Allen's book, One Year to a Successful Massage Therapy Practice and make it work for you instead of waiting for someone else to hand it to you. |
