Hi! I'm currently a student Massage Therapist! I'm excited about starting my career as a massage therapist, hopefully with a chiro or physical therapist. I'm currently in the middle of our Business week and I'm building a plan. It's not set in stone but it's something I'd like to work towards but I'm having difficulty finding the information I need. I would like to make house calls to help the physically disabled and my thoughts were that some can receive that help through their SS. My mother has MS and was once able to hire an assistant for herself and a massage therapist; free of charge to her because it was paid through her social security or disability (I'm not quiet clear through which one.) So would I be a contract therapist through the government? If yes, How do I go about doing that? Would it be considered a Contract Therapist (who do I call) and/or could I advertise that I am available for those who wish to hire me through their SS/Disability? Any tips or advice, related or not, are welcomed! Thank you! Grymm |
