Learn and earn APICS certifications (CPIM and/or CSCP). Best Body of Knowledge related to Materials Management in industry.

I was a retail merchandise planner and I want to branch out into supply chain/manufacturing planning. Do you feel the CPIM certification would help me? Did you find the courses reasonable to pass? or hard?
