Do you have any tips to help prepare for an upcoming mechanical designer interview?

Develop a portfolio of your work. Bring examples (hard copies) or a CD of the design work you have done in the past. It always has helped me to show perspective employers what I have been doing.

Make sure you are honest with what you know and don't know. Also, make sure that you communicate to them that you want to learn as much as you can about the field and industry. Always dress in a suit for an interview!
