How did you get your start doing Media Specialist work, and what career moves did you make to get to your current position?

Do you need a particular educational background?

I am a certified "School Media Specialist". This was once called a School Librarian. You must have a degree in education as well as a master's degree in Library Science. The difference of a librarian and a media specialist is that you must be skilled in many areas of technology, and be able to reseach documents and authenticate them. As libraians, you have the skills to recognize bogus information as well as think out of the box to find information. Lastly you will not jepordize a company with copyrighted documents. hope this answers your question.
