IS IT A GOOD IDEA TO TAKE MEDICAL BILLING COURSES ONLINE

I AM INTERESTING IN TAKING MY MEDICAL BILLING CLASSES ONLING, BUT I WANT TO KNOW FROM OTHERS WHO HAVE TAKEN THE COURSE IF IT'S BETTER TO TAKE ONLINE OR A CLASSROOM. I HAVE BEEN EMPLOYED WITH BLUE CROSS BLUE SHIELD OF SOUTH CAROLINA FOR 10 YRS AND I WAS TOLD TO LOOK INTO MEDICAL BILLING SINCE I ASSIST PROVIDERS WITH HOW TO BILL MEDICARE CLAIMS AND HOW TO BILL THEIR CLAIMS CORRECTLY. I KNOW THEY MAKE MORE THAN ME AND TIRED OF BEING UNDERPAID. I AM ALSO LOOKING TO DO MEDICAL CODING AS WELL...THANKS FOR ANY SUGGESTIONS THAT IS OFFERED TO ME...GOD BLESS

Hello Miss Kim...I have recently completed the on-line Medical Billing and Claims course thru U.S. Career Institute. The course was incredibly complete and interesting. I felt I got the full spectrum of the field. The online training really fit my lifestyle. I got continued support from my 'instructors', and a huge amount of reference material which I can use in my career. I have received enough training to either work in a hospital, doctors office or start my own business and work from home. (Although, I was hoping to get some hands-on experience in a medical office, first.) I live in an area where medical facilities are everywhere, so I hope to find work soon. If you are a young, experienced, minority that is always a plus! P.S.Plus, you have 2 years to pay-off your tuition!

I lack experience in the field and wonder if at my age(65) it is worth looking into.
