How do you transition from Animal Health Pharmaceutical Sales into Medical Device Sales?

I have 7 years’ experience in Animal Health Pharmaceutical Sales. I was a top performer and sold 20 different drugs directly to Veterinarians. I would like to get into Medical Device sales. I prefer a position where I can close and see direct results. Human Pharmaceutical Sales doesn't allow you the opportunity to close and many decisions are made by Insurance Companies. I like having technical discussions and want to sell directly to accounts. What steps could I take to get my foot in the door?
