How did you get your start doing Medical Social Worker work, and what career moves did you make to get to your current position?

I have always worked in the school setting, however, I got into the medical SW through persuing my MSW and internships. We were required to have at least 1 internship of a year in a field we never worked in. At the time I didn't like the idea, However, NOW..It opens up more oportunities in which you can draw upon that experience. Hope I answered your question.

I really feel like I missed out, by not working in a medical setting in the 2nd year of my internship during grad school. Any advice for having attained MSW and MSW level licensure and trying to get medical experience? Positions I see require 1-2 years of medical experience. I must start someplace. This Catch-22 is impossible!
