What do you enjoy most about your medical social worker career?

What do you enjoy most about being a medical social worker? What do you dislike the most? Is it challenging? Are there many opportunities to learn and advance?

What keeps you at your job?

I love being a medical social worker. I work as a contractor. I have been doing this for five years and have been able to network to assist the elderly people I work with daily. Yes it can be a grimmy and terribly sad but at the end of the day I feel fulfilled and know that without my work many people would suffer. Being a christian really helps deal with the hopelessness I see and helps me uplift others. I typically go from one aweful situation to another but the people I work with depend on me and the staff I work with know of my skill level and believe in me. That is why I do it!!!!
