I always wanted to be a Doctor. But over time I realized:
- don't have a passion for any specific field
- was motivated by money
- getting into med school issues (3.0 gpa and bad test taker- at least with ACT/SAT exams)
- large debt of med school
- stressful residency and lots of schooling
- malpractice issues could be annoying
- friends and family are more of a priority than my career
- im more of a quiet person (may be awkward interacting with patients)

Anyways I started looking at Lab Techs and it seems like something I like:
(just gonna list things that may be relevant)
- still highly interested in a medical/health profession (cant see myself doing anything else)
- i like hematology, cell biology, immunology
- i have little experience with it but im somewhat into forensics, radiology and pathology
- other interests include: anatomy and most life sciences
- math skills are average at best but i do well in statistics
- eventually (as an experienced MT) hope to be considered "well off" or close to it
- some flexibility working and something that is not too stressful
- looking for a job as an MLT/MT should not to be too difficult
- lab tech is the only carrer that has got me excited so far

I think you're going down the right path.. Good to know yourself and what kind of job you really want. I hear of smart people who become lawyers or managers just because that's a high-powered career that's supposed to be desirable, but they end up quite unhappy with their jobs.
