I have over 30 years experienced and previously owned a transcription service. I am interested in doing work from home full or part time. Recently, I have been transcribing x-rays, but I transcribed history and physicals, discharge summaries, ortho, consultations.

I have been an MT for 18+ years and work for an MT service full time but early morning hours with an accuracy rate of 99%. I am a recent graduate of an on-line medical transcription school. Since I have zero experience, I have not found a job yet. I am looking for a full-time, home-based job in medical transcription. Prefer IC status, but employee would be fine. Any suggestions?

I have the same issues as a new transcritionist. Even though I have completed a professional program and have typed over 350 reports; mostly reqarding arthritis, dermatology, osteoarthritis, osteopenia, etc. I can call off any kind of symptom and almost give a complete diagnosis on these matters from all the reports I have done. Yet, I still have a hard time finding someone who will hire a new transcriptionist.

I have 30+ years of MT experience, also owned a business at one time. I am currently transcribing psych reports at home and sometimes x-rays. I have done quite a bit of transcription which includes history and physical reports, discharge summaries, PI reports and ortho.

Being a MT for over 25 years in all specialties I feel I would be an asset to you. I have been typing at home for many years for psychiatrists, audiologist, a neurosurgeon and podiatry. When I worked at the local hospital the transcriptionists were rotated on a weekly basis on different specialties so to keep up on their terminology, etc. I have also typed for many foreign doctors at the hospital.
