I very recently landed a f-t job after working several months at a private practice that had no benefits and office space available to me only two days/wk. When I told the owner of the private practice about my new job, I offered to continue seeing clients there as well--as the f-t position is having me work four, 10-hr days. She got very angry and told me, among other things, that she wants me out of her practice completely within two days and that my current clients won't be given the option of following me to my new job.(today and tomorrow I'm having to see my clients with a new therapist and say they are being switched as of right now) Shouldn't the client be given the choice on this one? There was no contract signed at this place saying anything about this. Help! I feel so badly for my clients.
