I've been working for a wonderful family for about 13 months. Recently they've decided to enroll their 2 year old son in a learning program at a nearby facility for 5-6 hrs a day 5 days a week. I still take care of him before and after, but the parents are requesting that I be readily available while he's at the learning center in case of an emergency or if he's sick and needs to be picked up. Should I be compensated in some way for those hours that I'm "on call" for? |
