Hi I started working with a family in New Jersey almost two years ago. My contract renewel came and went! I do not feel any sense of protection or stability with no contract. I feel I should have this document as it covers the family as well as myself. Recently the mom decided to ADD many more responsibilities to my daily routine. Knowingly I was a teacher for 20 years she now has me home schooling, projects, class trips, and science experiments, add those to the normal list of duties. Oh and did I mention the mom failed to mention the twins, are out of control! and the youngest boy was just diagnosed as ADHA with oppositional defiance disorder? yep, its a busy, exhausting day. I am on my way out of this position if the mom does offer me a new contract. Does anyone have any suggestions? I need help. Thanks..one tired and unhappy nanny.

Have you asked for a contract renewal? It may have slipped their mind. If you don't have a good written contract yet, it might make sense to go out and find one one. There's a handful online, such as at www.mynannycontract.com/nanny-contract.
