hi my name is mackenzie and i have been working for this family for 4 years now.The family has a 4 year old and a 2 year old and now expecting twins come july.I do all family laundry, fold and put away all dishes, kids beds take out trash aside from taking care of the children.I asked for $25 an hour a 10 dollar increase for when she has the twins and she says she"ll give me $20.I work very hard and have always been very reliable.Does anyone have opinion on if this is fair pay for four kids plus housework????

No its not. They are taking advantage of you.

My girlfriend is a nanny....no housework and she makes $20.00 an hour. Has a car to drive...is given a credit card to use for the kids. She does work long hours and its tiring...but she likes the family.

Get a paper and pencil and figure how much she will have to pay for EACH kid if she puts them in daycare>>>????

I would tell her your not making it on what your making and see what she does...or just quit doing the housework. Is that part of your job description...she needs to get a housekeeper for that.
Good Luck!

I don't think it is unfair to ask for $25. You are watching two more children now and thats a lot of work.
