What do you enjoy most about your nanny career?

What do you enjoy most about being a nanny? What do you dislike the most? Is it challenging? Are there many opportunities to learn and advance?

What keeps you at your job?

I have been a nanny for 4 different families and for the most part find it rewarding to work with children. Yes it's a challenge to have content children and do everything that the parents ask of you. The thing I dislike the most about my current job is that I feel unappreciated and underpaid. I also feel like the mom does not appreciate things I do but just wants to pint out what I don't do. If anyone else were to have my current job they would not put up with this unless they got paid way more than I do. The way I think I can learn and advance is to find a different famliy who will pay me what I am worth.

I am looking for a Nanny job because, I am ready to leave my current job. I feel unappreciated as a childcare teacher and the salary is less than stellar. I enjoy children but prefer smaller groups. I don't enjoy the classrooms anymore. Nanny jobs pay better than minimum wage. Somewhere down the road I want to buy a new car have my own apt. So I can pay rent.
