I have been working in London as a live-in nanny for the past year and went through JCR agency based in Australia (otherwise known as Montrose). The agency placed me with a good family, although the high turn over of nannies the children have had in their lifetime made me feel like something of an outsider (mainly with the parents), it also made the children very bad listeners, which was extremely frustrating. The work has been good in regards to free rent/food/living in a nice area. However it is very difficult to maintain a life outside of nannying. I have been single for the entire period I have worked here and find it difficult to meet suitable guys outside the club/pub environment.
I think it depends on how old you are and the stage of life you're at. If you're young and just want to have fun and experience London then it is great but if you are ready for the next stage of life, good boyfriend etc then I would not recommend it.
Good luck and I hope this helps.
