I've worked in Telecommunications for 11+ years covering the positions of technical support, integration/deployment, professional services planning, solution architecture and design, systems test, and network engineering directly. I have an expired CCNA and CCDA. My whole career has been focused on networks. From distance learning and remote arraignment technologies, to xDSL, and SIP VoIP.

I'm trying to transition out of Telecommunications and pursue general communications in the areas of communications and network systems engineering.

I've been turned down countless times for even entry level network engineering positions even though I have extensive experience in this area. Any thoughts on how to market my skills? I'm studying for the CCNA right now which should help.

Anyone ever in my situation...a hybrid network engineer?
