What are the top 3 traits or skills every network engineer must have to excel? Can you suggest any tips or insights to develop your network engineer expertise? |

A broad knowledge of basic networking, security and server
On the last note -- The era of the freeky-geek is over outside a UNIX team. If you want to succeed as a network egineer you need to be able to converse with people on all levels, explaining technical concepts in lay terms when required and adapting to your audiance without patronising them or taking over their heads. |
