Can you become an RN if you have a DWI conviction?

One thing I know about the California Nursing Board, and that is, unlike the California LVN Board, they are willing to do all they can to help Nurse that is suffering from any type of addiction problem, many nurses have this situation, they can get help without being in fear of losing their license. I turned myself into the LVN Board for a one time drug usage problem, with a patients pain medication, that was over 20 years ago, not only was my license taken but I was offered no type of rehabilitation assistance, the RN board does offer rehab assistance. I suppose they realize Nurses are human as well. Best wishes.
