I have been an LVN for 2 years now and cannot get into a clinic. When I passed my NCLEX I made the mistake and took a positon as a Quality Assurance nurse and never got the much needed clinical experience. Would like to hear other experiences and what steps may have helped.

I am now trying to get into a clinic or an Urgent Care facility but have no luck

Have a great day........Rick

Do you have your ACLS, PALS, ECG, and IV CERT? If not get it and throw it out there, you will be more marketable. Try AHH, American Heart Association. I am taking ECG then ACLS in september, the more certs the better your chances. To work in ER or Urgent care you need those.

I do have my ACLS and IV Cert, I just became a AHA BLS instructor to add to my resume. I have been thinking about the ECG and just have not done it yet. Thanks for your input
