I am an LPN with a new position at an assisted living facility. I am going to school and bridging to be an RN. Very recently, I was hired to be the nurse manager on a unit. I have been the charge nurse in skilled nursing, but never a nurse manager. As usual, there are those with attitude problems and there is the one who ends up doing all the work with a good attitude. I here, "we've always done things this way". I am working with the director to change the atmosphere. I could use some input from those of you out there who know how to handle this.
