I am making a career change. Don't know whats the difference in in the two - Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant career.

Look at American Academy of Nurse Practitoners website. Not a simple answer
Physician Assts are able to move about from state to state because they all take one national certification exam. NP's scope of practice is different in every state.
Some NP's can work independently, under MD supervision, or within a collaborative agreement with an MD.

As an NP-I love the role. Unfortunatley though, the PA's clinical hands on and training is much better. Job opportunities seem in an abundance too.
