I will be graduating in May with my FNP. I was wondering if anyone is looking for new grads in CT in a primary care role? I have 17 years experience as a RN. I have worked in a community clinic, short term rehab, and SNF as a student as well as a semester in pediatrics/OB/GYN. Thanks for your consideration.

DELA;

We are definitely seeing a need for candidates who have an extensive RN background who are newly minted FNPs. Did you have a specialty for the years you were an RN?

If you would like to speak to a WellStaff representative please go to our website at www.wellstaffusa.com and click Apply to WellStaff Today.. You can fill out a quick contact form, or complete our online application.

Thanks

I am a "new grad" FNP in San Leandro,CA. I have been an ER RN for 10 yrs priorand am currently working as such. I am having the WORST time trying to find anyone to even give me the time of day because of the no experience as an NP issue (other than the clinical time. I can't even find someone volunteer with so I can at least get my DEA.
Any encouraging words?

Hello,
I am a new graduate certified FNP and have been a RN for 10 years in the ED and in cardiac step-down and ICU settings. I am licensed in Massachusetts and am seeking employment on the Southcoast of MA, the Boston area or the Worcester area as a NP. If anyone is interested or knows of potential employers who hire new grad NPs in these locations, I would so appreciate the input. Thank you for your time and consideration.

No encouraging words, but I can sympathize with you. I live in Oklahoma City and the jobs are scarce. The other problem I have is I have tons of peds experience and am a new FNP. Everyone I interview with is discouraged about my adult experience. And I thought the peds would help me out! I also don't understand some employers; Like being cancelled multiple times for the same interview or having a job advertised for months now and not even starting the interview process. I didn't expect to have so much trouble finding a job, but this has been a nightmare. I have seen some really bad offers also, like less than I make as an RN. Wish I could be encouraging but all I can do is say "I know how you feel". I graduated in December and still I am NP jobless.
