associate or bachelors degree

So I'm thinking of going back to school to become a RN and wondering if I should try to transfer to a four year school and get a bachelors degree in nursing or will an associates in it be okay?
Eventually I'd like to go even further in schooling/specialized to become a anesthesia nurse and wondering if a bachelor is worth it.
Please tell me if it's a better bother with a bachelor or wait out the waiting list at a community college.

If you are going to move on up to a master's then obviously, a BSN is necessary first. However, if you plan on stopping at BSN, know that the pay is only about one or two dollars more and all they really add is more management skills. I'm a couple weeks from graduation and I'll go on to bsn, but at a part time pace because there aren't a ton of benefits to BSN.
