To the RNs:
Are lab people, like myself, the devil to ya?
I have a even 50/50 good/bad when dealing with RNs.
Pro: A RN admiting to a mislabel. A RN being kind enough ot redraw a cath patient with weird results to verify. RN taking the time to learn what hemolysis is.
Cons: (where do I begin...) Well, the RN that helped me seek a new job was the one who tubed a stroke protocol to the lab. The RN that pulls the clot out of the blood tube (we have magicaly powers of finding out you did this by the way).
Last question: Why is it so hard for me to get a last name for some of ya? JCAHO standards are clear on this. I have to protect my license too.
