You can try checking this U.S. map of CNA classes nurseslink.org/cna-classes-us-map/ to find current training programs in Illinois and St Louis.

Beyond that you can try calling nursing homes and assisted living facilities in your target areas to see if they offer free on-the-job training for CNAs. If you go this route you will probably be required to make a commitment to work at the facility that provides your free training for a set period of time (probably 6 months or 1 year).
