Any OTs out there that worked part-time during their program or current students who are working? So many people have advised me not to work and say I will fail my classes if I do, but I don't have much of a choice. I will have bills and debts to pay during school and I already have loan debt from my Bachelor's so I am not willing to take a bunch of money out to cover living expenses. Advice!? Help.

I worked part-time throughout the program, but it was only on the weekends. To be quite honest, I wish I had not worked. For one, I did not earn much. I also could have used the weekend to focus more on school, but more importantly, I could have used the free time to just relax. Studying all the time definitely overwhelmed and made me fee burnt out.....

The program at SJSU was pretty intense, but one can get away with working 16 hours a week.

Have you looked into deferring your loan payments from your undergrad education? I will definitely be doing that to help lighten my financial load while in the OT program.
