I'm going to take BIO 110- Anatomy & Physiology I in about a month, since it is a requirement to apply for the OTA program at my community college. I have my required 18 hours of observation set up, and I am taking care of all the other things I need to apply, as well (like recommendation letters, health forms, etc). I have a diploma and state license in Massage Therapy, but the diploma is from a massage/trade school, not an actual college/university. The OTA program adviser said I can still apply and that they accept people from all backgrounds. But realistically speaking, do I actually have a chance of being accepted if all I have under my belt is BIO 110, a massage diploma, a Direct Care certificate, and work experience with special-needs children (in addition to the observation hours and other necessities)?
