I will be applying to OTA program this June and my GPA is 3.4. My question is: Will that be too low to get accepted? What was your GPA when you were accepted? Thank you so much. |

Depends upon where you are going. My GPA is similiar and I got right it. The application states that it is necessary to have 2.5 in required courses so if you have that then you should be accepted. |

I Agree, It all depends on where you apply. I know the school here in San Diego is very competative and those who get into the OTA program are accepted on highest GPA. we get a few students from Gross Mont and most of them have at leat a 3.9 GPA or higher. The OTA programs in the Los Angeles area are also very competative and most students that get accepted have a 4.0 GPA. |

The contact, Noel Hepler, is 20 + veteran in OT and she is extremely approachable, responds quickly to emails. I talked to other students currently in the program and they said that the faculty is supportive and flexible. I am fairly certain that as long as you meet the requirements, you will get in! It's not a selective process, yet. They did say, it may become more selective.

Hello you guys...was this your OVERALL GPA or the pre-reqs? Basically..I have around a 3.0 OVERALL and I am an LPN. I am SO willing to go back to school and bust my butt and earn all As in my pre-reqs, if that's all they look at, as far as GPA. I know some programs do, which is why I ask. I would HATE to have a 4.0 in my pre-reqs but not be able to get into the program because my overall is 3.0 or whatever. I hate Nursing and want to get out of it asap. |
