Laid off in Connecticut in Norwalk, Connecticut

Hi there I am on the East Coast, and I totally understand I have worked most of my life. I was laid off from a good job in a large company. Well, since then I have been doing contract work. I contacted all the agents I could. I stay on top of it. If you have skills you will do well. You have to be strong and dilligent in this very poor economy. You can get free training on line, I used Youtube to learn a few softwares, some I know already and some of the agents let me learn tutorials on site. Then I even went to the library to get free books on how to write good cover letters and learn more softwares. The skill sets will help you, as will your confidence. Be strong and remember, it's a lot of work. I was able to land 4 temp jobs in a year and a half. I did go 6 mos. with nothing, so during that time, I went to job agents and kept on trying. It finally paid off in getting the 4 long term temp jobs. Best of luck to you. Don't give up even though it seems difficult.
