Channel Conflict? How are the forum members handling it? Given the real world experience of this audience, I would be interested to hear if anyone has managed to overlay (or transition to) an online distribution model (a global affiliate sales force etc)from a traditional distribution network - i.e geographic distributors.
Several of my clients are making the transition from traditional distribution to a global affiliate structure and it is obviously causing some pain. I actually see the two models as fundamentally in conflict and in many cases a "hybrid" model seems the only viable option.
What experiences have others had?
