How did you get your start doing painter work, and what career moves did you make to get to your current position?

i want to search for odd jobs, and bid jobs for myself. I do interior painting& carpet cleaning.apartment preperation for rental. how can i find ads for some side jobs for rentals or individuals that need that kind of service

I grew up in it. My father started his business 30 years ago. I have done every crappy job there is and have probably done some that were invented for me. The best career move I made was to leave the trade for 12 years. I realized how much I loved it and also gained some tools to help me out when I started my own business.
