Are jobs in this industry on the rise? Are there any sub-sectors that are growing?

Where are the jobs? Which places have the most park ranger opportunities?

I run a website about federal park ranger jobs with the U.S. National Park Service. According to the Office of Personnel Managment, somewhere between 40% and 60% of all federal employees will retire in the next ten years. Plus national park visitation is on the rise and President Bush's budget proposal includes a huge budget increase for the National Park Service to be paid out over the next ten years.

So, I'd say there's a good chance that job opportunities for park rangers in the federal government will increase significantly over the next few years.
