On average how many applications did you complete before getting an interview?

Forget about actually landing A JOB. How many applications for hospitals did you complete before getting a call for an interview?

I am recently certified as a patient care technician through the NHA and have been applying for jobs since receiving my national phlebotomy and EKG certs. We're going on 1 and a half months and 25-30 applications later and still not a single phone call.

I am growing increasingly frustrated. Not only because of the no call backs, but I feel like I've waisted my time and money. Maybe I should have just taken an EMS or CNA certification course.

What do you all think? Was this a waste of time on my part?
