Hello Everyone,

I'm new to this site and am not sure yet as to where exactly to post this question. I am a HR administrator for a small company and am not familiar with Cafeteria plans or section 125 plans. Is there, or does anyone have a checklist to setting this up?

I would very much appreciate any help I can get.

Thanks,
Someone

Hello, we are an employee benefits insurance broker and consultant in Pennsylvani. We do this for our clients. I would think that your employee benefits broker could assist you with this. Failing this, a special area at your payroll provider should be able to help.

there are a lot of good companys that adm the fsa plans. If you have a company you are working with they sholud beable to give you all the help you need. If you are what is called a 10 and under they should still help you get started. Just be careful if your doing your own adm and know what is allow

There is a limit on the amount per year that an employee can contribute. The cafertia 125 is pre-tax. The employee is reimburse through out the year until they reach their max amount. See the web-site on irs issues, www.irs.org, and cicular e, pub 15, 15-a, 15-b, and fringe benefits, Pub 525, and benefits. Also, join the national payroll association, www.payroll.org. We have an hotline for any payroll, benefits, and accounts payable questions.

A true Payroll Specialist.
