Pharmacy Assistants do not have the same legal abilities as Technician's do. In fact, many Technician's can only compound and help to prepare prescriptions under supervision of a Pharmacist. PA's provide clerical, administrative, and customer service related support to Technician's and Pharmacist's. PA's also do not acquire licenses and are not legally allowed to handle drugs unless they are in their container..
