I know this question may be silly. English is my 2nd language. I'm quite good at face-to-face conversation, but answering a phone call is another story. I often need to ask the other person to repeat what he/she's saying. Either they speak too fast or there are many noises that makes it hard to understand, not mentioning a lot of people whose first language is not English.
I'm offered a job at Safeway. I'm excited, but I'm also worried. Dealing with customers is not easy. I'm afraid I would upset them on the phone.
Can anyone share your experience about this? Thank you.
