I just started working as a pharmacy technician at Rite Aid. I was scheduled to work 7 hours and had three shifts during a two weeks of the pay period. That should amount to a total of 21 hours. I know that I took 30 minute breaks during these shifts; so the total amount of time I worked should be 19.5 hours. However, on my earnings statement - it has only 17.98 hours. What is the deal? Do they charge by when I clock in or how I am scheduled in? I am wondering where I missing about 1.5 hours? Should I talk to the store owner about this? I just don't want to make this mistake - because if it's by when I time in and time out then I want to make sure I am doing the correct thing each time.
